Our Mission
Mission and Purpose
- Our mission is to honor, respect and forever memorialize the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives protecting our freedom during active military service by providing, at no cost to their family, an original portrait of their fallen soldier that fully captures their appearance and personality.
- Our desire is to make a profound and lasting impact on the family while also providing a place where they can spend time with their soldier when they need them most.
- Our goal is to comfort and serve as many Gold Star families as possible through our portraits.
Below is an excerpt from a letter received from portrait recipient, Ron Russell, father of Army Capt. Blake Russell.

“Phillip Taylor turned a digital photograph into a work of art in which
our Blake came to life! Phillip was able to capture the soul of a
loving, caring, giving person with a huge Colgate smile and a
mischievous gleam in his eye. We are captivated and oh so grateful! “To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die.” (Quotation by Thomas Campbell.) That quote describes so eloquently what Phillip Taylor is doing for the families of the Texas fallen soldiers. I am in awe when I think about the fact that our son Blake is credited with being the soldier who “started” this beautiful project that has touched, and will touch, so many lives. Each time a family receives the portrait of their loved one, Blake will be a part of that amazing gift! And it is truly a gift that will continue to give for generations.” |
